One of the UK’s most decorated eCommerce businesses is looking to hire a Senior Scala Developer for their London technology team. 

You will be responsible for driving forward product innovation with the help of a talented, agile development team. You will be expected to take a mature and pragmatic approach to development and will be excited by the prospect of remaining hands on as well as leading a world class team of technologists. You will be use your excellent problem solving skills to overcome huge technical challenges relating to scalability using the most cutting edge tech to remain ahead of the market. 

The ideal Senior Scala Developer will have extensive experience working with enterprise systems within highly agile environments. As this is a leadership role, the ideal candidate will need to be enthusiastic, collaborative and influential. The Senior Scala Developer will draw enjoyment from helping further the careers of those around him/her and will be encouraged by seeing others succeed within the team. 

You will have experience with client and server side technologies and have the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the platform's features. The ideal candidate will have a deep awareness of core engineering principals, asynchronous behaviour, infrastructure, scalability and web technologies. 

Senior Scala Developer - Experience 
- Java / Scala 
- Spring, Spray, Play, Akka (any of the following) 
- ActiveMQ or other messaging technologies 
- AWS 
- SOA/Microservices 
- SQL/NoSQL 
- Agile (TDD, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration/Delivery/Deployment)
