This is a fantastic opportunity in a great location for someone who’s looking to grow as a developer at a small but extremely technical company, excited to take on a hands on role with complex projects within new and varied technologies.
The ideal person for this opportunity would be someone with a strong background in either Scala (akka) and/or Big Data (Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Flume) looking to move into a position where you will have involvement with both. We are looking for someone who is open to new technologies and can easily learn and pick up new things.
We are looking for a candidate that has strong experience with Scala, Java, Big Data/Hadoop, TDD and Agile as well as a good knowledge of Data Storage solutions such as, MondoDB, CouchDB, SQL, Cassandra and Redis.
It is also a bonus if you have had experience with Front End technologies such as Javascript, up to date Javascript libraries such as backbone and AngularJS as well as HTML and CSS. You will be working within a Full Stack capacity on a variety of innovative technologies so it is important you are a passionate Computer Scientist able to hit the ground running.
