We are looking for a Lead/Senior Scala Developer to work with an industry leading, large scale organisation to join one of their rapidly growing and highly technical teams.
In this position you will be one of the most senior members of the Scala team, we are looking for proactive and reliable leaders with a passion for using the best Open Source technologies within a Functional Programming focused environment.
We need someone who can be a proactive leader within the team, an excellent communicator able to mentor more junior members of the team and share skills, experience and technology to better an already well established technical team.
It is absolutely essential for this position that you have worked extensively with Scala as your primary language within a senior capacity. As well as mentoring responsibilities, we are looking for someone who is highly skilled working within a hands on capacity with complex backend development. We are looking for someone who strives in a situation where they are pushed technically, able to come to quick solutions.
You will be working with technologies such as Scala, Akka, Play and NoSQL and will also have the opportunity to learn further technologies as the team grows e.g. Golang. The ideal person for this position is a passionate and talented engineer with extensive senior experience within a functional programming focus.
