to London Scala Jobs
Please contact me if you are interested in working on a great project for HMRC through Capgemini, we have roles based in Worthing(near the beautiful town of Brighton), and Shipley(really close to the digital hub that is Leeds)!

Worthing roles - Looking for solid functional Scala Developers - Brighton is really close and London is only a 1 hr 30 min drive or a 2 hour train journey – South West rail has seen massive improvements recently, there are also some really nice B&Bs and rooms for rent around here – it’s a lovely village!! Couldn't recommend it enough, especially if you have a family and want to get out of the rat race that is London. They are also really flex on letting people leave early on a Friday or Thursday for commuting etc so please do not discount because of the location.

Shipley - we have both Lead and Developer roles on offer here, it's really happening in Leeds at the moment so a great city to be near with good transport infrastructure connecting you to the whole of the UK!

My client are offering year long contracts so there is great security on offer, either at initial offer stage, or after an initial 3 months, so you can try before you commit! They have a great team of people, working across some really high profile projects within the HMRC through Capgemini. They are looking for solid functional programmers and the key technologies are Scala, Akka, Play, Mongo – they also have the access to the latest versions, libraries etc and developers can use their own computers so they can develop in their own environment! They don’t want candidates from a big data background, you need to be solid functional programmer, if you don't have that much commercial Scala experience then experience with multiple functional programming languages such as Haskell etc will be considered, or if you have solid Java 8/9 experience then this is also transferable!

It's a quick process and a great project to work on, especially for building up your skills with Scala! Get in touch - my number is 07515 325 110.
