Dear LHS,

We are organising a "construction party".

We own chapel + vestry (building attached to the chapel).

We have planning permission in place for 2 residential dwellings, however the chapel was built in 1838, listed building, there are some requirements (such as preserve pillars and upper gallery)

Here is the link to the event: https://astralship.eventbrite.co.uk

(video recorded in 360, have a look around, supported only in Chrome and YouTube native app)

We will organise ridesharing and if the numbers are high we will hire a bus.

(hiring a bus is cheap, it's your talent that cost money)

At this stage we are unable to cover anything more than:
  • transport
  • food
  • hospitality
  • materials

It means no wages so we are considering small portions of equity. So if we become a billion dollar company your 0.1% could become one million.

Might be a fascinating week of hackspace-emf-congress-SHA-pirate-ship party.

We have a lot of content on the website and not that much on social media. If you know someone good with online marketing here is the job page: https://astralship.org/jobs

Sending good vibes.

The thing is progressing.

Period of work and then the actual party...

I know that some of the LHS members are already on board...

This is our first event so we are taking it slowly, it is a learning curve for us too.

Me talking about current state: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrksXBZ_9_4

(website, slack, trello, github, various pages - mission, refurbishment - peak performance, flow state - and multiple ways of generating income)

We are very open and very receptive.

You know where to find me: https://astralship.org

(my number is on the website, email footer, twitter bio and switch it off at night to avoid wave pollution anyway)

Dear LHS, Hackers, Makers, Artists, Creatives, Radical Thinkers...

The stuff is getting real.

We have a new logo - https://99designs.co.uk/logo-design/contests/future-thinking-chapel-uk-needs-visionary-logo-709819/entries - we are registering a trademark, new internet is being installed...

(less than 10 miles to the highest peak in England & Wales - Snowdon - and you can see the sea from the office)

Our mission - flow state, peak performance - regenerative ecosystems and systematic change - by offering accommodation to 20-24 people the "economy of the scale" kicks in, so no longer shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, other chores but being "in the zone" all day every day...

28-29-30 April I'll be driving to Wales and I'll have 2-3 seats available - you are more than welcome to join me for the adventure: 0044 758 629 4279

(currently I spend some time in a corporate job that pays relatively well and allows to invest in the chapel)

Reference check:
- for the short moment I was the major on Swarm (former Foursquare) - http://imgur.com/a/8qUf9
- been to EMF2014, EMF2016, CCCAMP15, 32C3
- have my tickets to SHA2017
- to the point where I started making "art" out of it: https://wiki.emfcamp.org/wiki/Sticker_Wall

The stuff is getting real.

Even in case of a nuclear cataclysm, zombie apocalypse, WW3 - I would do exactly what I'm doing right now, there is no stopping the vortex: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFCSXr6qnv4 :)

In the past couple of months I wasn't communicating - there was an ongoing negotiation about potential investment with one of the members of LHS.

Fast forward a few months - no investment - we are completely self funded - we are creating community for hackers and space pirates.

After extremely busy summer I'm taking some time off and "sailing as a passenger" - I pay £30 per day and I do not have to worry about shopping / cooking / cleaning / laundry.

Alternative is to "sail as a crew member" - 4 hours of work required - also don't have to worry about silly stuff - quality work, flow state, peak performance.

You can see some recent photos on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astralship/

If you are thinking about coming - take warm clothes, sleeping bag, hiking shoes, working tools and build yourself your own room - don't leave many attachments behind, we are on a mission to heal the planet - technology is cheap, reliable, efficient - we do not have to drill oil or... You get the idea, see you at #astralship

Just so you know - I'm not just a random guy who sends an email every now and then - https://www.instagram.com/p/BZtCL1Bn7-J/?taken-by=stefek99

(I've just become a Mayor on Foursquare rebranded as Swarm)

I see enormous potential of cognitive powers collectively owned by LHS members.

Somehow related - I'm a computer guy and only recently started to learn how to operate power tools. I know humanitarian organisations prefer cash donations but I'm thinking about sending them a mobile hackerspace in a shipping container filled with construction tools...

Good luck with that!

From my experience sending stuff to countries in Africa you will be
lucky if the container gets to the destination let alone the contents :(

If you are still interested try talking to Computer Aid international
who have been sending containerised computer labs to African countries
for years at http://computeraid.org/
