vacuum forming

Hi all 

I apologise if this is the wrong format for posting a question.. but was just wondering if there is a vacuum former at the space. 

I'm looking to vacuum form a section from a pair of dungarees (they have been stiffened so the top pocket is curved out as opposed to flat)

Could anyone let me know if this possible down at the space?

This is the appropriate place to ask. :D

We don't currently have a vacuum former in the hackspace.

Chris Patton built one, but that was dismantled as there wasn't the demand for using those manufacturing techniques.

If you chat with him, he'll be able to tell you what happened to it, as well as, the problems that he came across in making the machine.

If you would like to build one yourself, then there would be a few people who would be interested...
