New furniture pickup

Hello!

In the new year we'll have to pick up all the furniture that has been
given to us from the old Last.fm office (think desks and chairs) and
transfer it to the offices of Musicmetric, who have kindly agreed to
store it for us until we can sort out a storage unit.

We need to do this before the 7th of January, and we'll need a van to
move all the gear. Some of it will come back to the space right away
(chairs, network switches), and some of it will be going to their
office on Shoreditch High Street (desks, picnic tables).

We'll need to hire a van and find someone capable of driving it. We
will also need people to help lug things around.

Volunteers?

Don't forget that we have a storage unit for the ebay stuff (which is
3/4 empty atm).

I'll happily help shift stuff.

I'd ask Charles Seber for the use of his vehicle, but his van's
awaiting an MOT, so it's not on the road right now.

There's a few members with Zipvan accounts. maybe one of them would
volunteer to drive.

With the cost and size of zip vans it's better to hire a Luton from near us and do it in one trip :-)

Zip vans tend to be around £9 an hour or more. Fine for short hops but if we have loads, best to use Luton. I can hot foot over and be second driver if needed or just be around on whatever day you choice. In Cambridge on the 4th and away on the 5th though.

Ok, we'll be doing the furniture move on SATURDAY, probably around 11am
depending on when Charles gets the van sorted.

It will all be going directly to the space and storage, we're not taking
it to the Musicmetric offices because they can't keep it for long enough.

I'll post to the list again when we know what time we're meeting, and
where we should meet.

Just found out that the trains from Surrey are messed up tomorrow(today
actually), I'm going to do my best to try and make it tomorrow but given
I just finished work and I have to get to the space by 11:30 I'll either
get very little sleep or will to wake up altogether.
