Running a training on the space's excellent PCB making facilities - learn how to etch circuit boards for both through hole and surface mount electronics devices, and get access to the mysterious PCB locker.

If you want training, you must read and follow all of this email.

Training is now available to sign up for on the wiki for Tuesday. Please note:
  • Training is open to a maximum of 4 pre booked places
  • Don't turn up if you don't have a pre booked slot
  • If you cannot attend the session please remove your name and email this thread letting us know at least 4 hours before the training.
  • Late comers won't be permitted, please be punctual.
  • If you fail to attend without prior notice you may be unable to sign up for training in the future
  • There is no charge for this session, it's my first attempt at running a training so will be chilled
  • Training should take less than an hour
  • Meet upstairs on the sofas - then we'll go down to the PCB station which is down in the dungeons.

Sign up by adding your name to the list here:

Cheers
Calum

p.s. if you are reading this email after the 24th January you have missed the training, please don't reply to this thread. New training will be posted to the list once available to book for.  If 18.30 is too early for folk, let me know and it may be possible to run another one later one evening.

Thanks to Mentar (Eugene) for his invaluable help with this.

I missed that but would love if it was run again ... happy to contribute a nominal amount towards costs for demo materials!

Great to see everyone last night and looking forward to seeing what you guys build!  I've added a link to where I buy boards on the page - https://wiki.london.hackspace.org.uk/view/PCB_Etch_Training

Alex - I'll run one in the next couple of months, hopefully sooner subject to availability.  Prob will add a small charge but anyone who's organised any training (such as yourself in the darkroom) will get it free of charge.  If I've got time I'll try and drop in on your course on sunday and if you've got time could show you after - but not able to confirm until the day.

Cheers
Calum

I didn't see this in time.  But I would be very interested if this happens again.
