Bypass chained proxy for a list of hosts

Hello, I have the need to use a chained proxy, but not for ALL the requests - is there not a way to tell the proxy to engage the chained proxy only for certain requests?

Yes, when you implement the ChainedProxyManager, you can have the lookupChainedProxies() method populate a different list of chained proxies depending on the HttpRequest passed into the method.
