Hello Everybody,

I am configuring a multi-instance postfix server as mail relay, and I would like to ask some questions about the best practices to apply when configuring a mail relay with postfix (to avoid being blacklisted by remote mail servers).

My relay is to send internal mail to the outside, no outside mail will be accepted.

1- mydomain, myhostname : currently I am using an arbitrary string that is not resolvable from the outside. Should I change to something that remote server can RDNS ?

2- Should I configure SPF or DKIM to authenticate my relay or it doesn't make sense at a relay level ?

3- What are other security features I can enable on my mail relay ?

Thanks.

BR,
