Could GoboLinux be the one ?

they seem to be the only distro that is trying to straighten out the
Linux file structure mess...

I would love if Fedora would take the lead on this issue !

to start with; it would be cool if the following were standardized,
all settings were saved to one place,
/home/username/settings
systems stuff under:
/home/username/settings/system
and application stuff under:
/home/username/settings/applications

for example: firefox stuff would save to;
/home/username/settings/applications/firefox
instead of /home/username/.firefox , and every other place....

This type of logical system file structuring would make Linux take
over the desktop in the computer industry.
this is only a start !

spread the concept,
help Linux put Windows in it grave ! where the greedy monopolizing
bastard belongs !
