On Mac OS Sierra, cmd-o file typeahead narrowing seems to often fail to find files in current workspace

LT 0.8.1, Mac OS Sierra, all up-to-date. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I don't recall it happening before Mac OS Sierra. In the LT console, I don't see any relevant errors. I'm looking for some troubleshooting suggestions.
