[ANN] Lift 3.2.0-RC1

Hello Liftians,

The Lift Committers and Contributors are pleased to announce the release of Lift 3.2.0-RC1. This is the first (and hopefully only) release candidate for the 3.2.0 series of Lift. We encourage all users of Lift to take this out for a spin as soon as possible and report back here with how it works for you.

The big headline feature for this release is Comet Rehydration which allows comets on a page to survive a Lift app server restart without requiring a full page reload. You can read all about it in the release notes.

I’ll be updating the website and API docs momentarily.

Phenomenal work putting this together, especially big props to Joe. He took some really early

hacky work I did 6 or 7 years ago and put it together into an actual feature. Big props, as the

original code was very, very nasty :)

I, too, smoke tested it on an app that I use and things looked fine.

I’d like to get some other +1’s from folks before declaring it final, though.
