Folks,

I'm very pleased to announce that Christop Henkelmann https://api.github.com/users/chenkelmann has joined the Lift project as a committer and has moved his amazing Actuarius Markdown parser over to Lift.

The Lift 3.0 branch has the Markdown code in it (anyone want to move that to the 2.6 branch?).

Looking forward to much Markdown goodness in Lift and to Christoph's excellent contributions.

Thanks,

David

That’s great. How much of an effort would moving it to 2.6 be?

How would one go about using this?  I'm assuming it will allow me to use markdown for templates, among other things?

Have a look at https://github.com/tuhlmann/lift-3-demo, there's a markdown.md page and also a small example on how to parse Markdown and send back NodeSeq.

Torsten.
