how do I install Leo5.0-final? I have downloaded the latest release from the Leo website. Extracted the files to my Home directory. Opened the terminal and tried to run the leo-install.py file. Nothing...... I'm fairly new to Ubuntu and using the terminal so, obviously I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone help me?

I *think* the core dependencies for Leo are installed by default in
current (14.04+) versions of Ubuntu, if not, you may need to follow the
instructions here: http://leoeditor.com/getting-started.html in
particular http://leoeditor.com/installing.html#dependencies

If the necessary dependencies are installed, download and unzip
https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/archive/master.zip
Just running the file launchLeo.py should start Leo, either by double
clicking its icon or entering `python launchLeo.py` in the command line
when your command line shell is in the folder containing launchLeo.py.
