Dear Hackspace!

We are organising a fantastic community art project for the Burmantofts area. We need the help of the Leeds Hackspace as a focal point of the area, to spread the word and encourage participation. Attached are the full details of the project and how the Hackspace can be part of it.

Here is a brief introduction:

Bring Your Leeds Heroes to Life

Heron Foods are announcing the opening of a new store in Burmantofts, planned for August.

The newly built store will be positioned on the corner of Lincoln Green Rd and Beckett St, right in the heart of the Burmantofts community and as part of the construction they are including a mural on the wall facing Beckett St.

The 7 metre long mural will be seen by thousands of drivers, pedestrians and passers by every year and will be a real focal point for the area. Heron Foods need your help to make this part of your community.

How to get involved…. We are looking for schools, colleges, nurseries and community groups to help bring this exciting project to life by submitting artistic pieces which we will compile into the mural design.

Please read the attached letter and leaflet for all the details. There are prizes for winning entries and coupons for every entrant.

We don’t want to take up your time unnecessarily, we would be very grateful for your assistance in passing the details of this project to visitors so that they might create a masterpiece in their spare time!

If you have any questions please get in touch by emailing enqu...@deswork.com

Warm thanks and kind regards
