Becoming A Member

Hi Hackspace,

I am interested in becoming a member. However, before I completely commit to it. Can I ask, it's possibly for me sign up for only 3 months? As after December I am going to traveling for 2 months, and I won't use as much in the early months of the new year. 

The main reason for me to join, it's that I want to use the laser cuter. I wonder can you do a basic membership for people like me (less committed people). For example you pay a cheap monthly fee £5, then pay £2 ~£3  per hour for the machine/ workshop renal fee? I think this format you may attract more members. (Only a suggestion) 

Have you fixed the laser cutting machine now?  It's all up and running again? I am hopping that I can come over to do my induction and do some laser-cutting on 14th Oct.

If you can get back to me as soon as you can, that would be great.

Hi Siya ,

Membership is pretty much pay as you go in monthly payments. You pay for a month, you're a member for a month. So you can pay for 3 months and then stop and no longer be a member, then come back later and start paying again. The cost of membership is £25 per month, and the cost of the laser cutter is reasonable as it is.

The laser cutter is still not working, sorry.
