Does anyone want some stock picking up from metal supermarket? Tanya has asked for something as its one of my ways into Leeds/ very near the climbing wall. Anyone else want anything?

Remember there is some by the lathe you can cut a bit off from to play with.

If you're after stuff for just playing with then I'd advise only getting
enough to keep you entertained until the engineering show (8-10 May).
There'll be an assortment of stalls there selling offcuts of all sorts
of interesting stuff (aluminium, delrin, brass, steel and probably stuff
I've not thought of) at very reasonable prices.

I'll definitely be going and will likely pick up some more fun additions
to the lathe. I should probably avoid big stuff though - they probably
wouldn't like me attempting to bring machinery back on the 36.

Aah, I thought the spare scrap by the lathe had already been used -either that or I managed to ask about it between us having stock last time.

To be honest I'm thinking starting extremely small, just a couple of spinning tops or something equally simple -though Mark did offer to teach us (collective us) how to make propelling pencils and a couple of other "induction" type projects, so I should probably find out what he thinks he'll need to run those courses :)
