Illinois publishing using JSON-LD

All,
Late last week, Illinois switched over to publishing resources using JSON-LD instead of the older, but equally valid microdata+json format. Our subjects and career clusters are now published as educational alignments; educationalRole is now a property of audience, which we’ve overridden so that instead of using schema.org’s Audience type, we’re using their EducationalAudience type; our group types are published using the audienceType of EducationalAudience; grade levels are now published as educational alignments with an alignment type of “educationLevel”, we publish licensing information using both schema.org’s license property and LRMI’s useRightsUrl property; this should satisfy those who are using strict schema.org as well as those who are using strict LRMI; and finally, our “assessment types” have been merged with learning resource type.
This leaves three properties which we use and couldn’t find and equivalent for in schema.org:
1. Requires from DC,
2. mediaType (this is DC’s “format” property – an older version of LRMI called it mediaType), and
3. accessRights from DC.
This makes our @context block and type property look like this:

Hi Jerome, thank you for sharing this. Great to hear you're using LRMI as JSON-LD, I think that's a great step forward. I also think that sharing /how/ you use it is just as important in terms of establishing interoperability. Your comment about media type not being in LRMI prompts a couple of questions.
What sorts of values do you use for mediaType?
And do you declare everything to be

or do you use some of the subtypes of CreativeWork?

Hi Phil, good to hear from you. We’ve been able to consume schema.org/LRMI published in JSON-LD format for a while, we just had to get our publishing switched over. At present our users have the following choices for Media Type: Other, PDF, Webpage, Image, Video, Audio, Document/Text, Application/Software, Interactive Whiteboard, Non-Digital, Slides, Spreadsheet, Archive, or eBook. I realize that this may not be as exhaustive a list as a list of MIME types, but our users are largely educators and students, and have no idea what MIME type a given object is. Heck, if you were to ask me what the MIME type of a given file extension generally is, I’d probably have to go look it up.
