Print resolution - scale factor for tiles

When I print a leaflet map from a webpage the DPI is very low and the results are grainy.

Is there any simple way of tricking leaflet into scaling the pics down (and increasing the number of tiles fetched) such that effective "DPI" is higher?

The difference would not be noticeable on screen (or slighly worse as the images would be scaled down) but my bet is that the print DPI would be improved.

Solved.  I multiply the DIV height and width by a scale factor and then set the css3 property zoom to 1 / scale factor.
