Leaflet for java desktop base application

Hi,

I need to make a java desktop base application that will request for data from an api and display the result onto a map (Point,Polyline,etc..). 

I have made use of leaflet before but it was for web base application and i was wondering if a leaflet library for java do exist ?

Has anyone ever tried leaflet4j ? Github/leaflet4j

Any recommendation or help ?
