Hi all,
I am reading the setting parameters example on lastools about lasground. I am working on two areas: one forested with some open spaces and one is a prairie landscape.
The lastools example suggest: Note that lasground was designed forairborne LiDAR. When using lasground with terrestrial or with mobile data play with the '-not_airborne' option (which may work better) or try the '-no_stddev' or '-no_bulge' flags.
Is it valid also for AUV point cloud?
Second. For the forested area i used
-all_returns
-wilderness
-ultra_fine
-spike 1
-replace_z
-cores 4
for the prairie area is it better to use -town and -course following the example:
The default step size is 5 meters, which is good for forest or mountains. For towns or flat terrains '-town' the step size is increased to 10 meters.
for flat terrains you can simplify the search with '-coarse' or '-extra_coarse' but try the default setting first.
Thanks for all suggestions.
Ale
