to LAStools - efficient tools for LiDAR processing
Hi Martin,

I tried to execute following command to generate a ground classified LiDAR. Data were downloaded from NOAA Digital Coast (for lake Erie) site.

C:\LAStools\bin>lasground.exe -i C:\mydata\converted_utm_laz\OH_Erie_01_utm.laz -olaz -odix _g

I was successful for smaller laz files.
But I got the following error when trying process a bigger laz file.

ERROR: cannot alloc point_buffer for 117276522 points.
contact martin....@rapidlasso.com for help on what to do.

Could you please help me to figure out what's wrong here and what should I do?
Here is the lasinfo output of the same file. (size of the file 582 MB)

to LAStools - efficient command line tools for LIDAR processing
Hello Asanga,

this is a very very common question on this list and this time - as an exercise - I suggest to use the search functionality available in this LAStools user forum with the key workds "lasground" and "error" to find about 97 different discussion threads on this topic. I think you will find an answer to your question quickly ... (-:
