problem with LAStools in ERDAS2015

Dear Martin,

I just installed LAStools for ERDAS2015, but somehow I can't get it to run.

After following the instructions as per the included PDF, I get the LAStools toolbar to show in ERDAS, but the tools just give me the error message below when I populate it with data and press "OK" to run it:

29/11/16 12:12:35 SessionMgr(8644): Could not launch process because lasgrid.exe does not exist in the LAStools installation path
29/11/16 12:12:35 SessionMgr(8644): ProcessRunner.exe exited with status 3.

This is my installation path:

C:\lastools_2016\IMAGINE_toolbox\LAStoolsForIMAGINE2015

I tried the LASGRID and the LAS2DEM, but the error message is the same.

Am I probably just pointing to a wrong folder somewhere?

Hi again,

I figured out what the problem was in the meantime.

Let me describe the full procedure that finally worked.

** Download LAStools from here: http://lastools.org/download/LAStools.zip

** unzip the whole folder to C:\

** In ERDAS, g to Menu File - Configuration - Configure Extension  (as described in the included Installation Guide)

** point towards the folder where the XML file lies

(in my case C:\lastools_2016\IMAGINE_toolbox\LAStoolsForIMAGINE2015)

** THEN: go to ERDAS Menu File - Preferences - Other - LAStools and set the installation path to C:\lastools_2016

This last step went wrong somehow. :-/
