Hello,

during a mobile scanning project (road or rail) it often happens that some areas are heavily over-scanned because the truck or train drove the same lane or track multiple times to complete the acquisition. It would be nice to have an automated solution that given a number of mobile trajectories with GPS times (and possibly quality values) returns a set of GPS times segments that describe a subset of the captured trajectories that cover the scanning area with just one pass everywhere (possibly using the newest or the highest quality trajectory segment whenever a choice among multiple candidates is possible). Is there a standard software solution for this that folks are using?

Regards,
