Haskell Training in South Africa by Well-Typed

I have been looking to get some Haskell consulting done by Well-Typed, which is probably the best Haskell consulting company in the world. They for instance get paid by the Haskell fund to improve Haskell infrastructure like Hackage.

Since an airplane ticket is cheap compared to their daily rate there is more value in getting them here to South Africa than for them to do remote work and while here we could arrange some formal training. The courses they offer are listed on their website:

I would be interested in getting them to do the Advanced Haskell course and with five participants the cost of the course would be about R 12,000.00 for the two day course. If there is more people the cost would go down.

Hi Mikkel,

That sounds like a great opportunity and I would definitely be in if you can get the Well-Typed guys out here to do a course. I think getting some direct training from one of their experts would be invaluable and the price does not seem too steep to me, especially if you consider that if you want to get training like this you would have to travel oversees to London probably.

I hope you get enough interest to make this happen.

Which is enough attendants to confirm that the course is going ahead. If you can confirm attendance, but the date doesn't work we will try to accommodate that.
