If we can get 18 more folks with printers signed up in Louisville the hub will open and we can be a part of bringing 3D creation happiness to the Louisville area.

I believe having a website that lets us print parts for other people (who can't afford commercial 3D prints) will do more for driving our 3D printing mastery and opening 3D creating to the average consumer than any other way.  We can do much more as a group than any of us could do on our own.  With the UPS hub here, Louisville has a strategic advantage since we can ship parts next day to most of the country.

This is my first post but I hope to get to know all of you guys sooner or later!  I want to be a part of advancing all things 3D in our area.

Please let me know if you have any other local 3D printing connection points.  I'd love to be involved with all of them.

An interesting idea, looks like you have 3 in the area so far.

My printer is... not quite functional as I'd like it, but I'll keep an eye on this.
I'm looking at starting to create my own filament, which I hope to pass on the savings
from that locally as well once it's perfected.

Don't worry about if your printer is ready or not.  You can click on "disable" or similar wording anyway (like when you are gone on vacation or unavailable for any reason) so you won't get requests until you are ready.  In the meantime if we can get to 20 we can all benefit.  Spread the word!
