Seeking Employment

Greetings all, 

I am in search of a job. I am currently doing home health care and trying to keep my massage studio open, but I am not making a living wage at my hourly job and am still building clientele at my studio. I have recently obtained my certification as a Death Midwife and would like to find a position working with the elderly as a personal assistant; combining my experience as a real estate personal assistant, certification in death midwifery, and massage therapy. I am a current Board Member of Kansas Permaculture Institute and would love to find clients who may share a similar vision of sustainable living and dying. My Mom, Teresa Odell, works at Neuvant House here in Lawrence. They work with Alzheimer and dementia patients who are elderly. There is much Life transition that happens there.

Good luck with your search, Cara. Not to steal your thunder, but since this list seemed to generate a good lead for you, I'll give it a go too!

I am job hunting as well. My awesome job designing and prototyping oddball flying machines and other vehicles at Kalscott Engineering had a great 10-year run, for which I am grateful. If anyone knows of any company needing a versatile designer and Builder of Stuff (Doug DuBois, BS), please refer them to my résumé and photo portfolio linked below.

For years I've thought that my skill set would make me a good prosthetics maker, but most jobs in that regard will likely want to see a related paper degree. I've already used my degree in direct experience to land several jobs requiring a paper degree... If anyone knows of a contact or possible back-door into such a position, please let me know.
