Come watch us grow!Wamego Community Garden is hosting a garden tour and luncheon Sunday, August 30th from 10am-2pm.Wamego Community Garden is in the second year of their 1.5 acre permaculture perennial garden expansion.In 2014 the garden added over 40 fruit and nut trees, brambles, fruit vines, strawberries, asparagus, and rhubarb, drip irrigation system, swales, and medicine wheel herb garden. 2015 brought in more funding and community participation with additional infrastructure including garden shed, shade pavilion, and an innovative high tunnel/greenhouse system with geothermal, water catchment, and solar system integrated into the design.https://www.facebook.com/wamegogardenWe have also arranged a tour with James Sperman of the nearby Greenfin Gardens tilapia and banana's.
