Skilling Up
for Local Economic
Resilience
Join
us for this 2-day
intensive workshop
July 27-28, in advance
of the Transition US
National Gathering in
St. Paul! This
workshop will be led
by Jay Tompt of the
Transition Town Totnes
REconomy Project.
Tickets
available here: http://tngintensives.brownpapertickets.com/
This two day
course is designed for
community organisers,
activists,
entrepreneurs, civic
leaders – anyone who
is interested in
making real economic
change where they
live. Based on our
experience in Totnes
and elsewhere, this
course will include
useful ideas and
theories, and lots of
practical tools.
Participants will come
away with a solid
understanding of local
economics, how to
organise change making
projects, and a real
feeling of confidence.
Topics include:
-
economics –
assumptions and
aspirations
-
key
ideas in local
economics
-
mapping
and assessments
-
networks
beyond the usual
suspects
Note to
participants - this
won't be a course on
how to start a
'transition
enterprise', but
rather how to create
the conditions for
many 'transition
enterprises' to
emerge. Some
practical, actionable
work people can take
home, but no business
plans.
*Please
note - this
workshop requires
a minimum of 20
participants. In
the event we do
not receive enough
participation and
need to cancel the
workshop, your
ticket can be
refunded or put
toward another
intensive
workshop.
