hi folks,

i'm not getting the repeat or group options on the questions drop down menu at the top of the page. if i add any another kind of question from that drop down, i can then change it in the in-form selected question drop down, where group and repeat do show up. however, when i do that, and then try to change the group name and/or add repeat, i get error messages.

i've updated java and added kobotoolbox to the exceptions list for self-signed applications.
i'm running firefox 29.0.1 on windows 7. the kobo version showing is 1.0.29.

any help diagnosing this issue would be great. thanks so much.

Hi Molly,
Unfortunately grouping and repeats are not supported in the current version of KoBoForm. The way you described it can work as a workaround, but in short groups and repeats are not fully implemented in the current version.

We are working on a completely new version of KoBoForm, which will come out this summer, which is going to fully support groups and repeats (as well as many other features). We'll send updates on this list when this happens, obviously.

Best,
Tino

Hi Tino
I hope this only affects the design for those designing on KOBO form but not the collection which is done on KOBO Collect?

Hi Aloo,
No worries - there will be no change to how KoBoCollect works, so all forms whether they were created with the old or the new versions of KoBoForm will work alongside each other.

Best,
Tino
