Font family specified by extrafont in ggplot halts execution of knitr

Also: I didn't have this problem until updating my R/Rstudio/packages a couple of weeks ago, before that font specification was fine.

Finally found the culprit: after upgrading R and the extrafont package, I needed to re-run

font_import()

That fixed the issue.

What made this challenging is that it only cause problems with some graphics devices with Arial specified: only some of the grid package and pdf.
