Has anyone had problems with getting Kivy to work over a remote desktop?

I'm working from home this morning, remoting into my work computer and just tried to run a Kivy app on the remote machine.  I get the error:

OpenGL version detected: 1.1

Version: 1.1.0
Vendor: Microsoft Corporation
Renderer: GDI Generic

Try upgrading your graphics drivers and/or your graphics hardware in case of problems.

Kivy works correctly both on my home system and on my work system so I assume it's an issue with RDP?

Both systems are Windows 7 x64.

Thanks!

Yes, RDP and Terminal services have limited support for Open GL. We tested on Terminal server with similar results. Kivy requires OpenGL 2, so as far as I know, it won't work..;-(

But there are other options. The post below is old, but still relevant. *VNC options might work...

Damn... that kind throws the whole "using Kivy" idea out the window as the standard for my office to to use standard windows RDP and most people here are pretty stuck in how they do things (IT and developers included... I know... weird...).

Thanks anyway!

HI,

Any news regarding this subject?
I am having the same problem with an RDP connection in Windows Server 2012 R2.
Thanks.
