Emulating softinput_mode with VKeyboard?

I'm writing an application that will be running on Windows, RaspberryPi with touchscreen, and Android.

Assuming that the

Window.softinput_mode = 'below_target'

is working in Android, is there any built in way of getting the same behavior with a docked VKeyboard?

If not, any thoughts on how to do it manually?
