Browsing files on the internet?

Hi all,

Been moving from tkinter programming to Kivy last week to start making apps, but now I´m hitting a wall trying to figure out a way to browse files on the internet. After some extensive search on the web, all posts are several years old and the only code I could find was covering the web browsing abilty. What I would need is the ability to get the names and folders of all files residing at a given URL. Has progress been made to Kivy web integration, so that this kind of functionality can be achieved? I have both iOS and Android in scope, which probably doesn't make the task easier. Thanks.

Kivy does not have  a web browser as such, but it's trivial to download internet resources.
