App crashing on start for Huawei Phones

Using Kivy 1.9.1

I have an app on the play store, and have received 3 negative reviews recently from Huawei device users stating that the app does not start. Exits directly from splash screen.

Here are the three devices according to developer console:

1. Device: Huawei GT3 (HWNMO-H) CPU make: HiSilicon CPU model: KIRIN650

2. Device: Huawei Mate S (HWCRR) CPU make: HiSilicon CPU model: KIRIN930

3. Device: Huawei X2 (HWGemini) CPU make: HiSilicon CPU model: KIRIN930

All other factors (RAM, Android OS, Architecture, Language, GLES) seem as if they can be eliminated, based on successful usage by other reviewers.

The crash is happening prior to any logs being written, so I wonder if there is a difference in how the storage directory is accessed?

I don't have any Huawei devices, and there are hardly any around in the US, so I was wondering if anyone had any insight into what is going on?

Hi, William, it is quite easy to find a Huawei phone or Huawei pad here. My father and my wife use Huawei Phones,  because it is much cheaper than iPhone. :) There is nothing special at all on Huawei phones I think. Just the android system is different. I am a kivy lover, but I am not good at p4a, I just use buildozer to package the app, and then use adb logcat to check the errors. If possible, I can help to test the code :)
