Kivy
has full support for unicode. Of course, it can be tricky especially
with fonts: they need to contain the glyphs/characters you are trying to
display.
The best is to post particular problems, such as the FileChooser post I see you've made. Will look at that later, but in general, Kivy should not have a problem handling unicode.
