new proficiency model

The site now has five states: Needs Practice, Practiced, Level 1, Level 2, Mastered.

The api/v1/user has a list of "proficient_exercises", and api/v1/user/exercise/<exercise_name> has a "proficient_date" value.

My application @ collegetrackmath.org depends on those two API calls. My question is: Which of the five states above will cause an exercise to be added to the proficiency list and assigned a date?

I'm pretty sure it's Level 1. I've just been having my students do the Mastery Challenges to bump them over. It's not much more work. I haven't been able to get anything via the api for about 3 days now though, so I can't check it for you.
