How to test a script that needs to replace the body of the page?

I'm writing tests for Turbolinks, which is a script that fetches the contents of a url via Ajax and replaces the body of the current page with the loaded page. I know that Karma needs the body of the page and my testing showed that the body of the page was not restored. Can anyone give me a tip on how to do this?
