How to transfer schemas to production cluster?

What is the suggested develoopment workflow for KAA?

I have deployed a sandbox KAA, I'm playing with it, creating test application with schemas an so on.

When I am satisfied with the schemas, how should I transfer the final version of the schemas to my testing KAA and then to production cluster? Is there any suggestions?

Hello, Anthony!

Our best practices is to provide all schemas next to source code, covered by some version control system (VCS). Here's one of our sample apps (Storm analytic demo) resources folder. It contains all the schemes used by application, so importing to different Kaa environments is easy.

Also, don't forget to use our Avro UI Sandbox. It listens to <your_sandbox_hostname>:9080/avroUiSandbox/ (NOTE: older versions use port 8080 instead of 9080). Here you can import end export different schemes and JSON that build to match them.

And last but not least, CTL export capabilities. Please, refer to documentation by link I provided.
