k9mail keeps showing me old yahoo emails

Dear All,

I am using K-9 mail on my Android device, and I am very happy with it.
I have many email accounts, and everything works fine, except for my yahoo.co.uk account. This one will always show me some old emails as "unread", although I might have read them a month ago.
Everytime I do a manual sync, at least one such email would come up. I have another yahoo.fr account which does not exhibit this problem. I also have a gmail account and 2 IMAP accounts on a dedicated server, and none of those would have this bug.

Has anyone any idea about what is going on?

Is this account IMAP or POP?

I am using IMAP for all my accounts, including the yahoo.co.uk one.
