I've noticed that for a while, the julia-dev group in google groups has had a layout problem, where all threads are moved to the right rather than aligned to the sidebar on the left, but I never understood why. But recently, this happened to a group I manage too, and I solved it by adding a couple extra newlines to the end of the intro message that appears on top. You guys might want to try this on julia-dev. (In julia-users this doesn't happen because the welcome message is longer and occupies more lines.)

I don't see the issue in Chrome or Safari. What browser are you seeing this with? Can you send a screenshot? Anyone else seeing this?

I just checked and I see this with Firefox on ArchLinux.

As he said, you only see this if the screen is wide enough and the
text is shorter than the logo.

Normal http://paste.opensuse.org/1863003
Broken (not that bad though) http://paste.opensuse.org/53691926

Notice in the second one, the messages are aligned with the left of
the the description text not the left of the logo.

The screen is wide enough to trigger this so the list is still wide enough...

I added an extra blank line at the bottom. Does that fix the issue for you guys?

Not yet for me, unfortunately, but my tests using the browser inspector reveal that with only one extra line the issue disappears. You can alternatively make the logo a little smaller --enough to save about one line-height of vertical space--, so that there isn't so much white space under the text. Or you could insert line (but not paragraph) breaks separating the sentences of the first paragraph.

And yes, this happens to me on Firefox in Linux. I was under the impression that this also happened with Chrome, but I just tested and it's fine in Chrome.

Update: just tested and this also happens in Firefox on Windows (7). Chrome on Windows doesn't show the problem.

I've added another line. Hopefully that fixes it.

It's fixed for me here. Thanks...
