Hey guys. Following my production release, i've been having several cases of people not being able to do proper juggernaut connections until they disable their firewall.

The server produces no errors i can see, but by the symptoms its always clear that they are not receiving or properly making the connection with the juggernaut server.

The juggernaut is serving at port 8080 and my site is on port 9292 for the time being. Is this a port issue? I dont know what else could an antivirus catch from a browser.

Your best bet is to have it go through port 80, which should be open for all firewalls. I personally have a domain forward to my instance IP on port 80, but varnish redirects the request to the appropriate port. I'm pretty sure my juggernaut server runs on port 8080 as well

i found this out https://github.com/LearnBoost/socket.io/wiki/Socket.IO-and-firewall-software

I guess i will post my findings there. Unfortunately, my users report conflict those on that list: Trend Micro and Kaspersky both failed :(
