Are there plans to make the javadoc available online? Hosting them on github pages seems to be the easiest way.

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Ed,

As the specification is now final (version 1.0), you can always download and access the specification, including source and javadoc from Maven Central.

Using tools like "grepcode" you can also view it online.

Hi, Brian.

I understand that the javadoc is easily available for offline reading. The reason I'd like to have them online is so that the javadocs I generate for my projects can link to them, as a convenience for my readers.

I can send a pull request for the gh-pages branch. Would you consider merging that?

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Ed,

Let me see if how the Enterprise / Core Java platform team deal with this so it can be done officially.

While we could publish it ourselves, it would be best if it was in an official Java Platform location, along with everything else.

BTW: In order to contribute to the specification, even for documentation, you need to be an Oracle Contributor.   It's easy (and free).  Details are here:

I can help you through the process and / or submit a request on your behalf if you provide the documents to me.

Regards
