When I try to upload a file in IE8, the server returns 415/invalid media type because the content-type header is not set to multipart/form-data.

What do I have to do in order to get the content-type set properly in IE8?  Is there a fix for this that can be done on the client end?

I've got the exact same problem and it's driving me crazy! Anyone know what I can do differently?

Hi

Am struggling the exact same problem. Even if i try to explicitly set the contentType, it does not pick it up! Could anyone please suggest a work-around for it?

Thanks!

Same here. I'm uploading using PHP and I can't control the server side, so I need to be able to set the content type to multipart/form-data or else the server side script ignores the file.
