Congratulations, Joshua Bell!
Tonight at the Music Institute of Chicago‘s annual gala, violinist Joshua Bell will be awarded the Dushkin Award. The honor, established 30 years ago by the Music Institute’s founders, Dorothy and David Dushkin, celebrates musical luminaries who contribute to the world through their musical prowess and dedication to youth education. Former winners include Yo-Yo Ma, Isaac Stern, and André Previn, among others. George Gingold, son of Bell’s teacher and mentor Josef Gingold, will be contributing remarks during the evening.
