See http://screencast.com/t/lehjDB2B8 (joomla 3.4.8)

This happens on all servers where we use PHP 5.6.15  All below PHP 5.6 works normal. So with PHP 5.5.xx and PHP 5.4.xx this works normal. I have to log out from the site and start a new session to be able to change a module. Happens also with plugins, components etc. If you click left on any of the filers the first entry remains in the search box. Clearing is impossible as you can see. It is not Isis related since it also gives the same problems with Hathor. It is not Windows10 since it happens also with Windows7. It happens in all browsers (on the PHP5.6 boxes) so my assumption is that (since it works normal in earlier versions) that something bugs this but have not the slightest idea what with PHP5.6

also see this forum post: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=706&t=904088

I have seen multiple similar posts on the forums with similar issues.

Anybody any ideas?

Could it be a combination of php 5.6.15 and a specific database version that Joomla fails to react with correctly ?
or
Perhaps a php setting that is different on the server that I use ?

Maybe unrelated, this collation is wrong. Should be utf8.

I am not sure. Apparently this is happening with only those having non-up-to-date version of suhosin. Try disabling suhosin and see if it still have this issue.

Let us know.

Unrelated JM since our installations all have UTF8. Database version
5.5.5-10.0.23-MariaDB-log, php 5.6.15 but we are recompiling a sserver
to 5.6.17 to see if that makes a difference

Changed the collation but still unable to replicate the error.

Both sites on shared Hosting so limited to which settings I can change.

Hi Leo
The FPA shows that Suhosin as a "Potential Missing Extension" on both sites.  Both are on shared Hosting so unable to install it to test with it installed.

Is Suhosin the common factor with the error ?
