Joomla js minification process.

Hi All,

Recently I came across a requirement of modifying js in Joomla! and Joomla! uses minified version of JS.

So, basically, I need to know how minified version of JS in Joomla! is created. There are tools out there, online & offline.

But I need to know which is recommended for Joomla!

I have good experience with Gulp.js. It's really easy to create a build file and the process integrates seamlessly into Joomla. You may add to gitattributes gulp.js or bower files if you don't them to be part of the extension distribution or to .gitignore to not commit these.

Downside is that it's ease to integrate it in CLI, but not so much on the server.

We don't have a preference so far. Everyone just uses what he likes best.
