Ballot Measure Campaign in Redondo Beach, CA
Vote NO on Measure C, Save The Waterfront is hiring canvassers for a campaign canvass project through early March 2017. Canvassers will knock on doors and engage voters about the March 2017 election.
Canvassers will be trained and must be able to articulate the message/issue and successfully engage in a dialogue about this issue. Canvassers will capture data using a combination of paper and hand held devices.
Canvassers will work approximately 25 to 30 hours a week - 4 to 6 hours shifts and earn $15 per hour. Shifts take place in the afternoon/evening and on weekends.
Qualities and Abilities Required
Canvassers must:
- have excellent communication skills
- be skilled at engaging community members in conversation
- work well in a team and be flexible and adaptive to changing conditions
- be able to operate data collection systems
- have a car to drive while working (gasoline expenses covered)
