Democratic Congressional Candidate in Highly Competitive WI District-7 is Hiring Campaign Fundraising Staff
Kirk Bangstad is challenging former reality TV personality and incumbent Republican Congressman Sean Duffy in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. Duffy is considered to be the most vulnerable incumbent Republican in Wisconsin and is targeted as a real opportunity for a Democratic victory.
Kirk grew up in the district and after graduating from Harvard University, landed a job in the Silicon Valley of California. He has worked primarily as a strategist for technology companies ever since – both with early stage start-ups and corporate leaders like Microsoft, Oracle, Google, and Cisco. Kirk knows that small businesses are the engine of the economy and the largest source of new high quality jobs throughout Wisconsin and our nation.
A life-long passion and second career in music allowed Kirk to work with technology companies by day and sing by night. Along the way, Kirk managed a rock band, received a scholarship to study music, pursued graduate studies in voice at Northwestern and sang on stage from New York to Japan and places in between.
Prior campaign and fundraising experience is not required for this position. This job would be an excellent opportunity for recent college/law school graduates and others who are interested in pursuing a career in Democratic politics or looking for a once in a lifetime experience.
Responsibilities include:
• Traveling and working directly with the Candidate
• Organizing and coordinating fundraising events
• Compiling and analyzing data, research
• Developing and implementing strategic plans

• Be able to write clearly and concisely
• Be able to balance and prioritize multiple projects
• Have proven organizational skills
• Be personable and enjoy working with others
• Be comfortable communicating on the telephone
• Ideally, have NGP or other database experience
